Southern Queer Magic : Opening Reception

On Friday, June 7, 2019 LEUR hosted the opening reception for our Pride month arts exhibition at the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. Southern Queer Magic is an eclectic of local Southern Queer forces and the power that they possess. During the reception, Baton Rouge native, Michael J. Morris performed Elemental Rites at the End of the World, an invocational performance piece of movement and witchcraft. To close out the opening reception Amanda G. with the New Orleans chapter of Greetings from Queer Mountain performed a small story-telling number about growing up Jewish and Queer.
